The Weekend Groove

Every Friday night from 10pm to midnight you can catch us and the madness we call the Groove. Not wanting to be the cookie cutter, play the hits, x amount in a row show, The Weekend Groove strives to bring a different show each week. Much effort is made to bring new music to the airwaves that you won't hear anytime soon or anywhere else for that matter. We continually reach out to local artists and scour the net for independent artist who are making good music.

Be it R&B, Soul, Neo-Soul, Hip Hop, Reggae, Gospel, Smooth Jazz or Spoken Word if we like it we play it.

We have an open door policy for local or visiting artists to drop by and share with our listeners new releases or news about upcoming shows. As we are on community radio we do our best to let our listeners also know about upcoming cultural events.

At 11pm we also give our listeners the listings, or as Mr. Mikey Don likes to put it - let 'em know what's "gwanning" in and around the city.

We will do our best to make sure that this site is continually relevant and a source for information on your favourite artists as well as to introduce you to some promising new artists you haven't yet heard of.
